Sandy Ground Beach
Sandy Ground Village and Beach, located on bustling Road Bay offers visitors a myriad of opportunities to dine, drink, enjoy live music and enjoy the beautiful beach. Although Road Bay is Anguilla’s main port for ships, don’t let that scare you off. Sandy Ground Village and Beach, fringed by Road Bay, contains a long expanse of sugar soft sand and turquoise water and some of the best nightlife on the island.
Elvis’ Beach Bar is located at the north end of Sandy Ground Beach. Go south down the beach and look to your left, across the road is The Pumphouse, a good place for live music, food and fun nightlife after dark. Next on the road is Ripples, like the Pumphouse, it is not directly on the beach but Ripple’s is a long-standing Sandy Ground establishment that you can cut over to from the beach.
Back across the street and still going south you can find Johnno’s that has live jazz and drinks to enjoy your afternoon on the beach. Next after the visitors pier is The Sandbar offering appetizers and drinks. After the Sandbar you’ll find Barrel Stay restaurant a favorite anchorage of magnificent superyachts. And last so far is Roy’s Bayside Grill, great drinks and food to enjoy sitting under a thatched umbrella on the beach.
